Located in Northern Zimbabwe, Bumi Hills is a charming safari lodge just outside Matusadona National Park. From its position on a remote hill range, the lodge provides spectacular views over Lake Kariba, the world’s largest man-made lake. The areas surrounding the lake are home to abundant wildlife, easily viewed from the lodge and the sunsets over Kariba are famous for their beauty. Matusadona National Park is located nearby, and offers plenty of exciting safari adventures. The lodge can be accessed by road and air.
Accommodation at Bumi Hills includes ten Lake View rooms, each one allowing stunning panoramas of Lake Kariba, and a private villa that is ideal for families, with two bedrooms with inter-connecting doors and a lounge area. Children of all ages are welcome at Bumi Hills Safari Lodge, and all of the rooms have en-suite bathroom facilities. Main areas include a beautiful infinity pool, designed in a way that makes it appear to merge with Lake Kariba. There is also a bar, a dining deck overlooking the lake, a gym and a spa.
Bumi Hills has a wide variety of activities available. Go on game drives in the adjacent Bumi Conservancy or, alternatively, head out on foot, and experience the African wilderness on a wonderful bush walk. With Lake Kariba on your metaphorical doorstep, there is plenty of opportunity to embark on a number of water based activities, such as fishing and day time or sunset cruises, which enable you to see Zimbabwe’s wildlife from a different view point.
