Small Group Tours

We are delighted to present our thoughtfully designed range of expertly guided set small group departures for late 2018 and early 2019. Destinations covered include Madagascar, Ethiopia, and a special tour combining Uganda with Rwanda.

Our tour-leaders are hand-picked and have many years of experience when it comes to guiding discerning small groups around their countries. Itineraries have been compiled using our wealth of experience, in such a way as to enable participants the opportunity to explore wonderful landscapes, see compellingly unique and often gravely endangered wildlife, attend colourful festivals and enjoy an immersive experience while in-country.

We are continually adding to our set departure programme - for the moment we plan to operate the following tours:

Uganda and Rwanda in September: Having lived in Uganda for 4 years, Craig and our Ugandan partners co-created a once in a lifetime tour which not only allows for participants to see the best of Uganda (with a bit of Rwanda added on) but to learn about the wildlife and conservation programmes in place, particularly where human-wildlife conflict is concerned and where inspiring, small initiatives are under way which are managed by permanent residents in the places incorporated in the tour. Madagascar: through the last 2 decades we have arranged numerous group tours to the wilds of Madagascar. We are very proud of this year's offerings because once again, they enable participants not just to see a plethora of rare and unusual wildlife and flora, but also to get to know about Malagasy culture and again, meet resident people managing small but credible, inspiring initiatives aimed at conserving habitat in places of rich biodiversity featured in the tour itinerary. Ethiopia: presently our Ethiopia set departures are focused around the country's two largest festivals - Timket (Timkat) in mid January 2021 and the very different Meskel (Meskal) in mid September. The Ethiopia Timket January 2021 tour starts with attendance of the festivities and follows with the main attractions along the famed Historical Route. On the other hand the Ultimate Ethiopia Discovery Small Group Tour with Meskel Festival is a once-in-a-lifetime trip, because other than attendance of the Meskel festivities, participants see the best of the Historical Route; scenic highlights such as Simien and Bale Mountains National Parks for their localised wildlife and while in Lalibela, the trip includes a two-day diversion for the TESFA Community Village Experience, often a tour highlight for travellers from all walks of life.

Group sizes are minimum 6 and a maximum of 10 participants.

Meal plan during group tours is Full Board.
