Activities
Semliki Safari Lodge provides an ideal base for a range of wilderness experiences. Guests can embark on game drives through Semliki National Park in search of elephants, buffalo, leopards and rare antelope species. Guided birdwatching walks are especially rewarding here, as the park supports a rich avian population including species typical of the Albertine Rift. Other activities include nature walks to hot springs and crater lakes, traditional fishing village visits along the Semliki River, and cultural encounters that offer insight into local ways of life.
Sustainability
The lodge works closely with Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) to support anti‑poaching patrols and wildlife protection efforts, crucial in a park where elephants and other species face pressure from human‑wildlife conflict. Semliki Safari Lodge also provides employment and training to local communities, strengthening livelihoods while promoting skills development in hospitality and wildlife guiding.
