Trip Itinerary

Day 1 Kampala - Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary - Murchison Falls NP

After breakfast, you will be met and transferred to Murchison Falls National Park.

Roughly 3hrs into the journey, you will visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary which was established in 1997 by the Rhino Fund Uganda (RFU) to reintroduce White rhinoceros to Uganda. Its long-term aim is to build a sustainable rhino population and relocate rhinos back to their original habitat in Uganda’s protected areas.

After a couple of interesting hours, leave Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and travel to Murchison Falls National Park where you will check into Murchison River Lodge where you will stay for 3-Nights in 1x Twin En-Suite Room on a Full-Board Basis.

Day 2 Game drive and Boat trip!

After breakfast, transfer across the River Nile onto the northern section of the park. The morning game drive exploring the Lake Albert Delta area, may reveal predators such as Lion and Leopard, and herbivores such as Rothchild’s giraffe, Elephant, Buffalo, Hippo, Warthog, Jacksons hartebeest and Uganda kob.

An afternoon boat trip on the Nile gives you the opportunity to explore the park from a different perspective. Here, you search for the animals and birds that inhabit this lush riverine area such as large pods of Hippo and huge Nile Crocodiles basking along the riverbanks, Elephant, Defassa waterbuck, and Cape buffalo.

Finally, you will be met by your driver/guide and 4x4 vehicle and transferred back to the lodge.
