Sango Safari Camp

Sango Safari Camp is situated in the private Khwai community concession, in the North East of the Okavango. It borders the Moremi Game Reserve, the heart of the Okavango Delta, meaning guests at Sango have the best of both worlds; the privacy and flexibility that only private concessions can offer, and proximity to the best wilderness terrain in all the Delta. Although this region is known as the drier part of the Okavango Delta, the presence of the Khwai river provides a year-round water source attracting one of the most fantastic wildlife concentrations in Botswana and allows Sango Safari Camp to offer both land-based and water-based activities. Sango is a small camp, with just six en-suite canvas tents, for a maximum of 12 guests. The tents are large and spacious, and decorated with local handicrafts and furnishings. En-suite facilities include outdoor showers and sink with hot running water. The main area is stylish, but comfortable and welcoming. Meals are served at a communal dining table and sundowners around the boma each night rekindle the atmosphere of the luxury mobile safari camp, successfully blending the rustic with the luxurious.

Activities include day and night game drives, guided bush walks and mokoro safaris. With a combination of permanent water, seasonal floodplains, open grasslands, riverine forests, and dry woodlands this incredibly rich habitat supports a diversity and abundance of mammals and birds rarely matched in northern Botswana. All activities are subject to seasonal availability and weather conditions. Self-Drive guests must pre-book all activities and meals before travel.
