What is 1% for the Planet?
1% for the Planet is a global alliance of businesses committed to giving at least 1% of their turnover to vetted environmental non-profits.
Since 2023, we’ve donated $50 for every traveller to charities close to our hearts and now as we continue to grow, we’re proud to be formalising that commitment by joining 1% for the Planet.
While 1% represents a significant financial commitment, our involvement goes beyond monetary giving. It reflects our values; from making climate-conscious choices in our everyday work to dedicating time and energy to projects we believe in. It's about ensuring that our business is part of something bigger, something better.
1% for the Planet brings together businesses that recognise the true cost of doing nothing. It’s a movement of companies who understand that the future of our industries, and the health of our communities, are inseparable from the wellbeing of the Earth itself.
There is no travel without nature. The places we go, the people we meet, the wildlife we encounter…all of it depends on the health of our planet. At our core is a simple idea: that travel, done right helps people see the world differently and help protect the world they see. We’re proud to be part of that collective effort and proud that our holidays give back in ways that last long after the journey ends.

How do you donate 1% of turnover?
We work with a number of incredible charities that support communities and conservation to improve the health of our planet. For every person who travels with us we donate $50 towards one of these charities.
In addition to monetary donations, our team are committed to helping some of our charities through man-hours whether that is running Vic Falls Marathon with Play it Forward or helping in beach clean ups.
We are delighted to have been working with Far & Wild as our charity partner since August 2023. This partnership that has already greatly impacted the lives of thousands of children in Zambia and will continue to do so over the next few years.
