Meet Robert
I was born and have spent almost my entire life in Kenya, so Safaris have been a central part of my life from almost day one. I have travelled extensively across East and Southern Africa, and I love being in the wilderness with my camera, whether it be in a high-end lodge or a £40 tent!
My love for travelling has been accompanied by my love for flying – I am a qualified private pilot in the UK and Kenya, and it is perhaps the best way to explore new areas of Africa! I love talking all things Africa and hearing about the countless once-in-a-lifetime experiences people have, and I love being able to introduce those who have not known the magic of Africa to it, and helping those who do know to come back!
Overlanding across Southern Africa
I spent a month overlanding through Southern Africa with a friend. We travelled through Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa, and had so many incredible experiences, including white water rafting at Victoria falls, gliding through the river channels on Mokoro canoes in the Okavango Delta, skydiving over the Namibian desert, and traversing the desolate Skeleton Coast, before exploring the winelands of South Africa. Truly the most diverse and incredible trip I have ever done. A key moment for me was camping in the heart of the Okavango Delta with a crackling fire and the Milky Way on full display above us.

My Expertise
My safari experiences range from overlanding trips across Southern Africa which saw me skydiving over the deserts of Namibia and white-water rafting beneath Victoria falls, to motorbike trips through remote southern Kenya across to the shores of Lake Natron in Tanzania, to camping alone next to a crackling fire beneath the stars in the Maasai mara, and everything in between. East Africa (Namely Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda) holds a special place in my heart (which I guess is expected having grown up there) and I actively keep up to date with the constantly changing tourism landscape and new lodges and experiences that are constantly appearing.
