Meet Sam
Born and raised in Kenya, I’ve spent a lifetime immersed in safaris – from mobiles and fly camping under canvas to some of East Africa’s finest lodges. Those experiences, combined with over 20 years in the travel industry, have given me a deep understanding of what transforms a good holiday into an unforgettable one.
After studying in Western Australia, my career began with Trailfinders in Dublin, where I had the privilege of travelling extensively and discovering some of the world’s most incredible destinations. But Africa has always drawn me home. Since returning to Kenya in 2007, I’ve been fortunate to spend my days exploring its wild places, building relationships with exceptional properties and designing bespoke journeys for travellers from around the world.
As a full-time wheelchair user, I’ve also developed a specialist knowledge of accessible adventure travel. I know first-hand that mobility should never define the limits of exploration, and I’m passionate about helping people experience the world with confidence, creativity and without compromise. With the right planning and local expertise, remarkable adventures are possible for almost everyone.
Away from work, I’m an avid adventurer and unapologetic adrenaline junkie with a love for unique sports and experiences that push boundaries. That same curiosity shapes the itineraries I create, whether it’s a classic safari, a family adventure or something completely out of the ordinary.
For me, the greatest reward is hearing a client say, “I never thought this would be possible.” Whether you’re travelling with accessibility requirements or simply looking for an authentic and expertly curated safari, my aim is always the same: to create a journey that exceeds expectations and leaves you with memories to last a lifetime.
Safari and starry nights
Loisaba Conservancy & Laikipia in Kenya is one of those places that never leaves you. Incredible sightings of leopard, wild dog, grevy’s zebra, elephant and rhino are only part of the story – the vast landscapes, the exceptional guiding and the unforgettable nights spent beneath the stars at the Loisaba Star Beds make it one of the most magical safari experiences I have ever shared.
