Meet Adele

I've spent most of my career seeking out the parts of Africa that feel untouched. Not necessarily the most remote, but the places where the crowds haven't gathered, the experience still feels real, and you still feel like a traveller rather than a tourist

As an Africa specialist consultant, I've worked alongside tourism boards, safari operators and conservation-led travel brands across the continent, helping to tell the stories of destinations that deserve a wider audience. That work has given me a deep understanding of how places develop for travellers, what makes an operator worth trusting, what an experience looks like before it becomes a highlight on everyone's itinerary, and where to find the genuine article even in well-visited countries.

Angola is a destination I've been immersed in for the last 8 months, working directly with Angolan Tourism Board to understand what the country is building for travellers and what it already offers right now, which is largely unknown to the wider world. From the otherworldly landscapes of the Namibe to the wildlife recoveries underway in Iona National Park and Cuatir Nature Reserve, to a culture shaped by centuries of history that tourism has barely touched, Angola feels like a chapter of Africa that is only just beginning to be written.
