Jozibanini Camp

Located in the south west of Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park, Jozibanini Camp is situated in a semi-desert environment, not unlike the Kalahari. The area has been virtually untouched by human activity for nearly twenty years, and as such, provides a genuine, untamed wilderness experience for guests. The camp is quite remote and accessed by a six hour long road transfer, with frequent stops in order to resupply waterholes on the journey. Jozibanini is a seasonal camp and is closed between 1^st January – 15^th April and 1^st November – 28^th February.

Accommodation includes tents elevated on wooden decks, located under shady Camelthorn and Shepherds Bush trees, overlooking the Jozibanini pan. There is a choice between double or twin beds and all the tents have en-suite flush toilets and bucket showers. Each room also has a spacious veranda outside, and guests can choose to have their beds moved outside and sleep under the African sky. Main areas include an outside dining area, where meals are eaten under the stars.

Jozibanini is a private concession, and activities include daily game drives with an experienced guide, or alternatively you can head out on foot on a bushwalk. Due to the nature of the terrain, the surrounding areas can also be explored by mountain bikes, a fun activity and a unique way of seeing the African wilderness. Jozibanini also possesses an underground hide which guests can visit. The hide provides fantastic views of the local wildlife and can be visited both during the daytime and after nightfall, where the animals are seen by the light of the moon.
