Located in a private concession in the northern area of Hwange National Park, Khulu camp is an ideal place to experience the timeless beauty of the African bush. Situated beside an ancient river bed, guests can view Hwange’s amazing wildlife from their own rooms. The easiest way to access Khulu Bush Camp is via road transfer. Children aged twelve years or over are allowed to stay at the camp.
Khulu Camp has six tents, comprising of four standard rooms and two suites. Each guest tent can be made into either a twin-bed or a king sized room, each with two wash basins, indoor and outdoor showers, mini bars and coffee machines. No matter where you stay in camp, you'll have an amazing view of the surrounding landscapes from the comfort of your room. Main areas include a swimming pool, fire pit, a comfortable lounge and a long dining table for communal dining and sharing stories about your safari adventures.
Activities include heading out on bush walks, a brilliant opportunity to see Hwange’s diverse wildlife up close. The camp also offers game drives in the mornings and afternoons, with the last drive of the day often ending after nightfall. Elephant herds, wild dogs and hyenas are common sights. Alternatively, you can let the animals come to you by spending time in the nearby pan or wildlife hide. Khula Camp organises trips to the local village, Dete, where guests can visit a school and a medical clinic and learn more about the culture of this area.
