Western Kalahari Holidays

Stretching from Botswana across the Namibian border and covering the area to the south of Windhoek, the Western Kalahari is a beautiful, yet under-visited part of the country. Any trip to the far south of the country will involve a stop here on a tailor made Western Kalahari holiday, usually for a night but anyone looking to extend their stay to two nights will be well-rewarded. The region is characterised by gently rolling red sand dunes and stunning desert sunsets. Although the area lacks the big wildlife of other parts of the country, this means it can appeal to more adventurous visitors as they can enjoy self-guide walking and mountain bike trails as well as nature drives and sundowner drinks excursions. This should never be an area you simply feel that you are passing through – it is a stunning part of the country and well worth a couple of nights as you make your way through Namibia’s beautiful South.
