Zambezi Sands

A small, luxurious safari camp on the banks of a world-famous river.

Combine a safari with Victoria Falls

Located in a beautiful National Park whilst at the same time situated close to Victoria Falls, this camp is an ideal holiday destination.

Zambezi Sands is a remote safari camp situated on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River. The location makes up part of the Zambezi National Park, a stunning wilderness area with an abundance of wildlife such as hippos, lions and elephants. The camp offers both land-based activities as well as boat trips on the river. Zambezi Sands is situated approximately 45 minutes by vehicle from the town of Victoria Falls. This camp accepts children from aged seven and over, and due to the nature of the camp’s layout, disabled access is not possible.

Accommodation consists of ten canvas tents, raised on wooden decking and hexagonal in shape. There are two different accommodation types, Luxury Twin tents and Luxury Double tents. All rooms overlook the river and a have lounge areas, an en-suite bathroom with outside showers and a private deck with a splash pool. Main areas include a spacious lounge and bar area, a viewing deck with a fire pit and outside seating as well as indoor and outdoor dining areas.

There is a wide range of activities on offer at Zambezi Sands. Game drives and bush walks are excellent ways to see Zimbabwe’s amazing wildlife up close, whereas boat trips on the Zambezi offer guests the opportunity to view the animals and the surroundings from the water, as well as the chance to see some of the area’s famous sunsets. Alternatively, you can experience the Zambezi on a guided canoe excursion, stopping for a picnic on one of the islands, or do a spot of fishing. Due to the camp’s close proximity to Victoria Falls, tours of Victoria Falls rainforest and a nearby curio market are also possible.
