Day 1: Take to the skies
Fly overnight from London, via Johannesburg to Victoria Falls.
Day 2: Hwange awaits
Arriving in to Victoria Falls at lunchtime you will be whisked down to the Hwange National Park by light aircraft and enjoy a game drive to take you through to your lodge – Somalisa Camp. You will arrive in time for afternoon tea and have some time to settle in before heading out for an afternoon game drive, a great way to orientate yourself with the park.
Days 3 & 4: Exploring by vehicle...or on foot
Your time in Hwange will be a wonderous time, with game drives, guided walks, birding safaris and village visits all on offer from Somalisa. Along the way you will see lion, elephant, buffalo, cheetah and wild dog, as well as possibly stately roan and sable antelope, two of Hwange’s most iconic sights.
Day 5: Flying to Kariba
Having enjoyed a final morning safari and brunch in Hwange you will be transferred back to the airstrip for a flight up to Lake Kariba – the arrival is truly dramatic as the vast lake appears on the horizon and looms ever larger the closer you get. They also offer game drives in the Matusadona National Park also on offer and a wonderful way to spend part of your time here.
