Zambezi Expeditions

Zambezi Expeditions occupies a wonderful location on the banks of the Zambezi River and is a superb spot from which to explore the iconic Mana Pools National Park. A throwback to safaris of old with traditional tents and dinners enjoyed around the campfire, this is a chance to experience safaris as they once were.

There are 6 canvas tents at the camp, which can be configured as twin or double rooms. Each room has an en-suite bathroom at the rear with running water for the sinks and hot water for showers provided on demand. The tents are simple but functional and have shaded verandas with camp chairs at the front where guests can relax in the afternoons. The main mess area has a small library, plenty of comfortable chairs and a small bar area. A campfire is lit each evening and guests can enjoy drinks here before an alfresco dinner under the stars. This is a seasonal camp, operating in Zimbabwe’s dry season between April and November, so rain is rarely, if ever an issue.

The camp offers the classic programme of morning and afternoon safaris, with guests able to choose between game drives, guided walks, canoeing safaris and fishing on a catch-and-release basis.
