Day 2: The Safari begins with Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast you will be collected by your very own driver guide, in your personal safari vehicle with a pop top roof, and you will head out towards the northern parks and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.. The journey will take through some inspiring landscape and gradually ascending up the rift valley and into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Ngorongoro Crater is a natural caldera (sunken volcanic crater) that spans some 19kms and is home to some of the highest concentrations of wildlife anywhere on the planet. It will have your children looking in awe at the incredible number of animals in their natural habitat.
You will stay at the Serena Ngorongoro Crater Lodge which sits on the crater rim with the most breathtaking views across the carter. The hotel is of a high standard with rooms over looking the crater. Your stay will be on a full board basis.
Day 3: Safari in the crater floor
After breakfast you will set off for a full day game drive in the crater itself which involves a steep descent into the crater where you will be among the highest density of wildlife in Africa. Resident in the crater are elephant, lions, hyenas, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebras, hippos and much much more. You certainly will not be short of things to see.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater or head back to the lodge for lunch.
Spend the afternoon relaxing at the lodge or venture for another game drive along the forested carter rim. Many animals live in these dense forests as do plenty of bird species. Look out for cheetahs on the first part of your trip into the Serengeti where there is a large flat area of grassland, that the cheetah like. Other animals to keep a look out for are elephant, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, gazelles, lions, hyenas and leopards.
After a full day seeing some incredible wildlife head towards the Serena Serengeti Lodge where you will be staying on a full board basis for 2 nights.
