Katavi Wildlife Camp

Situated on the banks of the Katuma River, this is one of only two permanent safari camps in Katavi, ensuring a quiet safari experience away from the crowds.

Accommodation comprises of eight spacious walk-in tents on wooden platforms, each with their own private veranda and en-suite bathroom. These are traditional Meru-style safari tents, modestly furnished with large double beds, desks and mkeka mats.

Game drives in Katavi offer a varied and rewarding experience. Drive along crocodile-infested rivers, through arid palm studded sand bars, and skirt seasonal lakes, seeing quantities of game reminiscent of a bygone era. Game can also be seen from the camp, including occasional lion kill.
