Located in the centre of the historic triangle of Bagamoyo, Pangani and Zanzibar, Saadani National Park covers a whopping 1100 km2. The beaches are lined by coral reefs and are an important area for nesting turtles. The Wami River is a sanctuary for large groups of hippos and crocodiles, and the forested area of the park is home to lions, elephants, leopard, giraffe and the greater kudu as well as a wealth of other plains game.
