Set in a private concession, Mma Dinare gently blends thoughtful design with spectacular wilderness.
Location: Mma Dinare offers a wonderfully secluded slice of Botswana's Okavango Delta. Set within a private concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, the camp looks out over vast floodplains and riverine woodland. What we love is the sheer sense of space; there's nothing hurried here, just uninterrupted wilderness, with wildlife often drifting right past your tent.
Rooms: There are just nine spacious tents (including one for families), each raised on wooden decks to make the most of the views. Inside, you’ll find natural tones, high canvas ceilings, and large beds made for lazy afternoons. We particularly love the outdoor showers; there’s something quite special about freshening up while the bush hums quietly around you. Wide verandas invite you to sit back, exhale, and simply watch the Delta unfold.
Amenities: The central thatched lounge, bar, and dining area are warm and open, built for long chats and easy downtime. There’s a small pool overlooking the river and a firepit where stories are shared under the stars. Meals are relaxed and generous, served around a communal table or out in the bush, where fresh ingredients and hearty flavours reflect the warmth of traditional Botswana hospitality.
Activities: This is one of the few concessions where you can enjoy off-road game drives, plus night drives and seasonal mokoro safaris. The wildlife is excellent: lion, leopard, wild dog, and large herds of elephant are often seen, and you’ll be guided by some of Botswana’s most experienced trackers. Guided bush walks are also possible, depending on the time of year.
Sustainability: Mma Dinare is owned in partnership with the local Sankuyo community, with many of the team drawn from nearby villages. As part of the Pack for a Purpose initiative, Mma Dinare encourages guests to use a little space in their suitcase and bring supplies for the Mummy’s Angels project which helps support local children and families in a truly meaningful way. The camp is entirely solar-powered, with waste managed on-site and structures designed to be fully removable.
