The newly built Kwara Camp opened its doors in September 2019. Located in the heart of a private concession bordering the Moremi within the permanent waterways and reed-lined lagoons, it is the perfect location to explore the Okavango Delta. There is a huge floodplain in front of the camp and extensive bush behind. Well known for its game viewing, you have access to both permanent water ways and large expansive dry areas. Wildlife is varied and includes hippo, crocodiles, elephant, buffalo, lechwe, sitatunga, sable, roan, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, tsessebe and abundant predators - lion, wild dog, leopard, hyena and cheetah.
The nine luxury safari-style tents are built on raised decks, within a grove of ancient African Ebony trees. Each tent has its own large viewing deck overlooking the lagoon, indoor and out doors showers and and large ensuite bathroom with bath over looking the floodplain. Kwara also boast a honeymoon suite with its own special bathroom with an antique slipper bath with the traditional ball and claw feet.
Activities available game drives in 4-wheel drive open vehicles, night game drives, guided walks, fishing, mokoro safaris and boat cruises to the Godikwe lagoon famous for the thousands of storks and herons which come to nest here.
