Our specialist says:
An outstanding blend of unique locations and experiences taking in some of Africa's finest camps and hotels
When planning a Honeymoon to Africa, there are few more iconic combinations than a few days spotting its iconic wildlife before jetting off to the idyllic beaches of the Indian Ocean.
Botswana stands out as the best place to spot wildlife, with an amazing abundance of big and small game, glorious safari camps and a justified reputation for allowing visitors to get away from the crowds and enjoy a wonderfully private experience. From there the beach awaits and there can be nowhere better than the beautiful beaches of the Seychelles, tucked away in the heart of the Indian Ocean and offering a quintessential sand and palm trees experience. Relax on soft sand beaches, swim in sheltered coves and enjoy outstanding seafood, all bathed with year-round sunshine. In between you will spend a night in Johannesburg where you can relax by the swimming pool, enjoy a sumptuous dinner and ensure you are well-rested for getting up to the Seychelles.
A wonderful combination, this Honeymoon ticks all of the boxes for a truly great African experience and will create memories to last a lifetime.

Day 1: Fly to Johannesburg
This evening you will be flying overnight from London to Johannesburg with Emirates.
Day 2: Connecting to Khwai
Land in to Johannesburg this morning and connect on to a flight to Maun, the main safari base in Botswana. From there you will catch a light aircraft flight to the Khwai Concession, 35,000 hectares of wildlife rich wilderness in the north-eastern section of the world-famous Okavango Delta. From the airstrip you will be driven to Machaba Camp, a wonderfully traditional tented camp which is ideally located for exploring this stunning area. Settle in and enjoy lunch before heading out to enjoy your first afternoon safari to see the varied wildlife of the area.
Day 3: Your safari begins
The beauty of the Khwai Concession is that, in addition to game drives the camps here are able to offer both mokoro canoe safaris and guided walks, meaning there are so many ways to explore this amazing area. All activities are enjoyed in the company of the lodge’s hugely experienced team of guides who well get you up close and personal with all manner of wildlife. The area is renowned for offering excellent lion and leopard sightings, is home to large herds of elephant and buffalo as well as a huge variety of plains game and varied birdlife.
Day 4: Relaxing in the bush
Of course, the focus of your time in the bush will be on wildlife viewing, but there will be plenty of time in between safaris to relax around the camp and enjoy the outstanding hospitality for which it is renowned. The sparkling swimming pool is one of the most attractive features of the camp and is the perfect spot for relaxing in the afternoons and soaking up the African sunshine. The camp has been designed to offer a feeling of safaris of old, with plenty of elegant areas for private dining, outstanding cuisine and warm but laid-back service from the genial staff. Honeymooners can enjoy additional benefits such as private sundowner drinks, gifts in the room and the chance to dine in the most exclusive spots around the camp.
Day 5: To Johannesburg
Spend your final morning in the bush enjoying a final game drive, or perhaps a relaxing breakfast on the deck of your tent whilst you watch the world go by. You will then be transferred back to the airstrip for a light aircraft flight back to Maun where you will connect on to the afternoon flight to Johannesburg. There make your way to the Peermont D’Oreale Grande where you will be spending the night. Enjoy an afternoon by the pool or have a spa treatment before heading out to enjoy dinner in one of the many restaurants found at the hotel. There will even be a chance to try your luck in the hotel’s casino before turning in for the night.
Day 6: On to the beach
Head back to the airport this morning for the flight up to Mahe in the Seychelles, arriving in the middle of the afternoon. You will be met at the airport and transferred by road to the beautiful Constance Ephelia where you will be spending the next 7 nights. Tucked away on a sheltered cove on the north-west of the island, this is the perfect spot for your rest and relaxation, with the pure sands of the beach and warm waters of the Indian Ocean just a few paces from your suite.
Days 7 - 12: Relaxing in the Seychelles
Spend your time at Ephelia relaxing and enjoying the idyllic location and wonderful luxuries that the resort offers. Try your hand at a variety of watersports, swim in the pool or top-up your tan on the beach. There is an excellent spa here offering a variety of treatments for those who like to be pampered and foodies will revel in the choice of restaurants on offer, especially the seafood options with fresh fish provided daily. For those feeling a little more adventurous there is the opportunity to explore the main island of Mahe or even catch the ferry to neighbouring Praslin to experience a slice of island life.
Day 13: Flying home
This afternoon you will be collected from the hotel and transferred back to the airport for your Emirates flights back to London Heathrow, arriving tomorrow morning.
