Kuyenda Bush Camp

Located in the remote, southern part of the South Luangwa National Park, Kuyenda Bush Camp resides on the banks of the Manzi River – a dry riverbed. Kuyenda is open from June to November and, though it may be one of the simpler camps on offer, it embodies the authentic charm of old Africa with its traditional thatched grass huts and proximity to the wildlife.

The accommodation consists of three twin chalets (with two queen-sized beds) and one double chalet (with a king-sized bed) providing an exclusive, personalised service for no more than eight guests. The four thatched rondavels are set on the edge of a grassy plain, surrounded by the seemingly out-of-place palm trees. Each chalet has an en-suite bathroom with open roods, double vanity units, shower and a sandy floor. From the panoramic windows of your bedroom you can look out onto the surrounding plains and the incredible wildlife. There is a central dining area, lounge and bar with an amazing array of food to keep you well fed during your stay in the bush.

The game drives and walking safaris are an excellent way to explore the surroundings at Kuyenda. You can even experience the South Luangwa landscape and wildlife at night with a night game drive. All are led by fantastically knowledgeable and friendly guides.
