Located in the remote, southern part of the South Luangwa National Park, Kapamba Bush Camp is situated on the banks of the shallow, spring-fed Kapamba River. Kapamba is surrounded by some of the South Luangwa National Park’s richest wildlife in a peaceful, secluded area. Kapamba has one of the longest opening seasons and is open from April to January.
The accommodation at Kapamba Bush Camp consists of four open-fronted stone and thatch chalets, two with twin queen-sized beds and two with double king-sized beds. The chalets are understated but stylishly decorated, and very comfortably furnished. There are attractive wrought iron gates that can be drawn across in the evenings to protect guests from any unwanted night visitors. The en-suite bathrooms have a double-sized sunken stone bath and twin showers and are open-fronted, so guests can unwind in their hot tub while overlooking the Kapamba River. The camp also has a fully stocked bar and first-rate food and service.
Activities at Kapamba Bush Camp include guided walks, game drives and night drives. On special occasions the camp can arrange an afternoon of wading in the cool waters of the river followed by a sundowner prepared for you.
