A fabulous bush camp with amazing wildlife and wonderful staff
Location: Kapamba Bush Camp sits in a remote corner of southern South Luangwa National Park, beside the spring-fed Kapamba River. This is one of the most secluded areas in the park, rich in wildlife and beautifully peaceful. The camp is open from April to January.
Rooms: There are four stone-and-thatch chalets, designed to make the most of their riverside setting. Each one is open-fronted, bringing you closer to nature, with two offering twin queen-sized beds and two with king-sized doubles. Rooms are stylish yet understated, with wrought iron gates to secure the space at night, and en-suite bathrooms featuring double sunken stone baths and twin open-air showers.
Amenities: The camp has a welcoming, open-plan layout with a well-stocked bar and excellent food served by a friendly, professional team. The open design ensures you never feel far from the sights and sounds of the bush.
Activities: Guided walking safaris and both day and night game drives are available. Kapamba can also organise unique experiences like wading in the shallow river, followed by sundowners prepared in the water, a real highlight!
Sustainability: Built with natural materials and a low-impact design, Kapamba blends into its surroundings and operates in tune with the rhythms of the bush.
