Boat Safaris, Walking and Fly Camping in the Selous

Sand Rivers has a reputation for being one of the best game lodges in Africa and it does not disappoint. Taking off at dawn and rising with the sun, a balloon safari provides a unique perspective on the wildlife below and offers great photographic opportunities. Flights last for about one hour and landing is celebrated in the traditional manner with champagne and a full English breakfast served in the bush.

Climbing Kilimanjaro

Chimpanzee Tracking

The Mahale Mountains National Park lies on the sandy shores of lake Tanganyika, the world's longest lake, and offers the best chimpanzee tracking in all of Africa. Many of the thousand strong population are so habituated to humans that they may even brush past you as they groom, wrestle, feed and play.
