Board your intertional flight to Johannesburg, arriving early tomorrow morning.

In Johannesburg you will be met and escorted through passport control, aided with baggage collection and taken to the Federal Air desk where you will check-in for your onward flight to the Sabi Sand. They will then transfer you to their private lounge area to await the departure of the flight, which takes you straight in to the heart of the bush. A short transfer from the airstrip will take you to Chitwa Chitwa, a stunning private lodge where you will be spending the next 4 nights. Enjoy some time to relax before congregating for afternoon tea and then head out for an afternoon safari.

With 3 full days to enjoy safaris in the Sabi Sand, you are assured of some truly incredible wildlife encounters, thanks to the astonishing density of wildlife that lives here and of course, the skills of your guide. Lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo – Africa’s Big 5, are found here in strong numbers, along with wild dog, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, kudu and a huge number of other species, too numerous to name. As the Sabi Sand is a private game reserve you are able to enjoy both off-road and night drives, which really enhance the safari experience, along with guided bush walks which really are a treat for the senses.

Enjoy a final morning game drive and breakfast in the lodge before being collected and transferred to the airstrip for a short light aircraft flight down to Kruger Mpumalanga airport, where you will connect on to the scheduled flight across to Vilanculos on the Mozambique coast. Make your way through immigration and in to the arrivals area where you will be met and escorted to the helicopter for the short flight across to beautiful Benguerra Island. The wonderful Azura Benguerra is just a short walk from the helipad to your villa which is your home for the next 5 nights.

With direct access to the beach from your villa and the azure waters of the Indian Ocean mere steps away. With your own private pool, deck and day bed, as well as the option to have meals served in your villa, the temptation is strong to simply stay there and relax. Further down the beach their new opening, the lovely Peri Peri Beach Club, is a contemporary take on beach life, with a rim flow pool, pizza ovens, day beds and bar with swing chairs, a wonderful spot to pass a few hours. The activities centre offers the chance to try your hand at scuba diving, snorkelling, fishing and paddleboarding, as well as offering boat trips to explore nearby islands with a picnic lunch.

Enjoy a morning to relax before being escorted back to the helipad for the flight over to Vilanculos where you will connect on to Johannesburg for a short layover prior to your overnight flight back to London Heathrow.
