Camp Okavango, or 'Camp O' as it is fondly referred to as is situated on the remote Nxaragha Island. This hidden treasure offers guests unparalleled access to the Okavango Delta waterways and a year-round water wilderness experience from mokoro rides to motorboat safaris.

Intimate and luxurious, this 11-room camp links the area together with interconnected walkways and ramps. The main area comprises of two lounge areas, a dining room, a library, a self-service bar, a curio shop, plus decks with sweeping views over the nearby lakes and a swimming pool to relax by.

Each luxurious room has been built on an individually raised wood platform and has its own private viewing deck and ensuite bathroom with a double shower, and there is one family suite consisting of two bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom.

A highlight for many guests is the chance to enjoy a night on the new Camp Okavango sleepout deck allowing to gaze up at a blanket of stars above and fall asleep to the sounds of the bush. The sleep-out deck includes a comfortable bed (mosquito net included), bathroom and all the amenities you need for a comfortable night out. Available on three-night stays or more.

This eco-sensitive camp has solar panels and has been designed to blend in seamlessly with its local environment.

Activities

Forget 4x4 game drives, Camp Okavango is all about the water! Experienced guides will expertly navigate guests through the many meandering, reed-lined waterways. Roam the vast expanses of water from the comfort of a modern motorboat watching elephants drinking from the edge of the water or explore the intricacies of the Okavango Delta in a traditional mokoro as your glide almost silently through the waterways, appreciating the smaller details of the rivers.

For those wanting to get a little closer to nature, guided bush walks are conducted on a number of the nearby islands, offering an opportunity to track some of the larger land-based species that inhabit this water wilderness. Birding opportunities are outstanding and anglers may put their skill against bream and tiger fish.
