Muchenje Safari Lodge, on private land, is on top of an escarpment overlooking the banks of the Chobe River within the Chobe Forest Reserve. The lodge has stunning views across the flood plain, on the quieter western side of Botswana’s Chobe National Park. Boasting views of the Caprivi Strip and seasonal flood plains, yet its position an hour drive, 50km, from Kasane airport means that it is far away from the bustle of Kasane.
Each of the 11 en-suite thatched chalets is beautifully, yet simply, furnished with an African ambience and with mains electricity. With your own private deck, you have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the views and wildlife in complete peace. One of cottages is a family unit, with a double bedroom and an open plan loft area with twin beds - perfect for a family of four. The swimming pool is set in the natural rock formations continuing the vibe of being immersed in quiet wilderness.
Safari activities at Muchenje include game drives in open Land Rovers into the western section of the Chobe National Park, boat cruises along the Chobe River, night drives, morning bush walks in the Chobe Forest Reserve and cultural visits to local villages.
