This beautiful, intimate safari lodge is situated within one of South Africa’s finest natural sanctuaries the Sabi Sands Reserve and Greater Kruger National Park. As one of the original private game lodges in South Africa, Notten’s Bush Camp offers a truly authentic African safari experience. Found in Mpumalanga, which means “the land of the rising sun” in the locally spoken language, Shangaan - it is a destination that will truly touch your heart and soul.
There are nine tastefully furbished suites consisting of an open plan bedroom and en-suite bathroom. All suites have an indoor and outdoor shower, overhead fan and private decking overlooking a large plain and watering hole. The rooms are elegantly decorated, emphasised at night by the candle and oil lamps providing the light for ambience. Electrical equipment can be recharged at the main lodge. The pool area has loungers and shaded seating looking out over the tree-filled garden, while in the evening guests gather around the atmospheric boma to socialise over sundowners.
Morning and afternoon game drives led by very experienced guides in search of the Big 5. Driving or being guided on foot by our experienced rangers will bring you as close as you will ever get to true nature, the African way. With daily guided tours from early morning to late night drives Between drives, guided walking safaris are on offer, or enjoy time around pool, with the availability of massages at the main lodge. Photographic safaris and birdwatching are also on offer at Notten’s Bush Camp.
