The hotel offers 134 exquisitely furnished, air-conditioned rooms and suites spread over three floors. I would without hesitation suggest this for a short stay as a great starting, or end, point for those wishing to explore Kenya. Boasting modern technology and furnishings with an African-inspired décor, all the rooms are albeit a little small, they are really comfortable. Views are of the park or Nairobi’s bustling streets. Views of animals in their natural surroundings at the waterhole in the park from the brilliant restaurants, bar, swimming pool, spa, the gymnasium, aerobics room or the sports lounge are what make this hotel so special. The impressive breakfast shows they've thought of it all, with alternative options as well as what you would typically find at a breakfast buffet. Eating in the fresh air on the restaurant balcony before an early flight was a wonderful way to end my Kenyan safari, seeing ostrich and looking out for wildlife right up until the last moment.
With the Ole Sereni generally used as a base before heading of on safari, activities from the hotel are relatively limited. However, if you do have a day to kill, the hotel is just 4km from the east gate of the Nairobi National Park. There is also an in-house travel desk to assist arranging airport transfers, tours and day trips.
