There are 12 fully furnished bedrooms at The Giraffe Manor, each with their own distinct personality, elegant furnishings and art deco features and en-suite bathroom. Rooms are split between the Main Manor (original 1930’s manor house) and The Garden Manor (a smaller replica of the original manor). The Master and Giraffe Room together make for excellent family accommodation. The Karen Blixen Suite is larger and contains one double bed and two single beds, which are chargeable at half the standard rate if occupied. With its stately facade, elegant interior, verdant green gardens, sunny terraces and delightful courtyards, guests often remark that it’s like walking into the film Out of Africa: indeed, one of its twelve rooms is named after the author Karen Blixen.
If you are not too busy feeding the resident herd of endangered Rothchild giraffes, you’ll find plenty to do during your stay. Nairobi is home to a number of museums, markets, art galleries and wildlife centres. Complimentary chauffeured vehicles are available for sightseeing; however, guests may need to share vehicles depending on demand and availability. Golf course nearby.
