Mnemba Island Lodge resides on an exclusive island off the north-eastern tip of Zanzibar. The island, which has been voted one of the three ‘most romantic ocean destinations in the world’ by Conde Nast Traveller, is just 1.5 km in circumference, dotted with palms and is surrounded by beautiful coral reefs.
The spectacular accommodation consists of 11 huge bungalows with direct access to the beach. Each bungalow has been built using indigenous materials, mostly woven and thatched palm leaves, and have an en-suite bathroom, hot and cold water, ceiling fans and a spacious outdoor veranda.
Relaxation is the priority at Mnemba and the day will run at your pace. The guest areas are all open sided to allow a gentle breeze. There is a small library with a selection of wildlife books, games and magazines. The warm sea is ideal for swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, windsurfing and scuba diving – all of which are included at no extra cost. There spa offers a range of relaxing massages and therapeutic treatments to help you feel rejuvenated.
