The Dhow Palace hotel is a small, yet luxurious hotel situated in the heart of Zanzibar’s capital Stone Town. Entering the hotel through a magnificent studded door and you are immediately struck by the cool and tranquil atmosphere – a world away from the hustle and bustle of the busy town.
The hotel provides a choice of 30 rooms including some overlooking the Indian Ocean. All the rooms are furnished in a traditional style with grand four-poster beds, carved mahogany chests and marble-topped tables. Every room has air-conditioning, a television and en-suite bathrooms. In the newest wing of the hotel, the rooms also have a balcony overlooking the inner courtyard and swimming pool. A roof top restaurant has amazing, panoramic views of Stone Town and serves food throughout the day.
Stone Town is a busy place with lots to see and do: from the bustling markets to historic monuments like the Arab Fort, The Dhow Palace provides an excellent base from which to get involved. Elsewhere on Zanzibar Island there are lots of opportunities to explore the tropical environment both on land and in the sea!
