The Serena Inn is a stunning property set in two historic seafront buildings that have been masterfully restored. It is a member the prestigious ‘Small Luxury Hotels of the World’ group. The hotel has a prime seafront location at the end of Shangani Street, less than five-minute's walk from the centre of Stone Town.
There are 51 air-conditioned rooms, all of which are en-suite with mini-bars, satellite TV and a balcony. Most of the standard rooms have a view of the sea, however to guarantee this, a Prime Room must be booked. The Serena Inn provides a very good seafront restaurant, where guests can take advantage of a comfortable bar and lounge area and a swimming pool overlooking the ocean.
The Serena Inn is affiliated to the Mangapwani Beach Club, approximately 20 minutes’ drive away from Stone Town. Serena Inn guests can use this beach club free of charge (complimentary transfers are provided). Activities on offer include swimming, snorkelling, sea kayaking, diving and dhow sailing trips, among much else.
