Kyaninga Lodge has eight luxurious wooden, en-suite, thatched cottages connected by a walkway. In each cottage, an indoor sitting area leads onto a private deck with views over the lake and the ‘Mountains of the Moon’. Marble countertop basins on hand-crafted Elgon olive pedestals, claw-footed freestanding baths, and glass-walled showers are all features of the opulent bathrooms. Solar power is used, and the kitchen garden provides plenty of fresh produce. The lounge in the main building has a cosy fireplace and large terrace.
Guests can enjoy relaxing on sun-loungers by the swimming pool. The lodge manages the charity Kyaniniga Child Development Centre (KCDC) and invites guests to support its various, fun events, geared towards raising funds for its programmes.
