24 eco-friendly chalets inside the Namib Naukulft Park
Sossus Dune lodge is designed to reflect and afro-village style, with 23 dune chalets and two honeymoon suits. The eco-friendly lodges are furnished with comfortable beds, mosquito nets, en-suite bathrooms (including a hot shower and flush toilet) and exotic African ornaments. Each room has a lounge area and large veranda that overlooks the Namib Desert landscape. The honeymoon suit is the last chalet on each side of the main lodge, the honeymoon suit is furnished with an additional open-air lounge. The chalets which are linked by raised wooden walkways lead towards the main area with a which is equipped a large open plan restaurant with separate lounge and bar area. Sossus Dune Lodge has a swimming pool with sun loungers – a great place to unwind after a day in Sossisveli.
The Sossus Dune Lodge which is located on the outskirts of Namib Naukulft Park means that guests can walk directly from the lodge into the nearby Sesirem Canyon. Being within the Namibm Naukulft Park means that guest can take full advantage of their unhindered game drives as they can reach Sossusvlei before sunrise and leave after the sunset, seeing the sun both rise and set other the Namib desert.
