Onguma Bush Camp

Tucked away on the eastern edge of the Etosha National Park, Onguma Bush Camp is a simple but very comfortable offering that boasts stunning views out over the surrounding plains. Perfect for self-drivers who want a stylish base for exploring the area, it is a delightful place to spend some time.

The lodge is made up of 18 rooms of varying styles, all of which are spacious and comfortable and come with all of the amenities you could wish for. They have lovely views out over the bush, especially in the drier winter months and there are small verandas at the front of each room where guests can relax in the afternoons. The main area is raised up to overlook a productive waterhole and guests are often treated to wildlife sightings as they relax on the deck. A secluded swimming pool provides welcome relief from the heat of the African afternoons and staff will be able to serve drinks and snacks to guests relaxing there. The open sided lounge area also overlooks the waterhole and is lovely and spacious, so it doesn’t feel to crowded, even when the lodge is full. Guests can enjoy the fantastic food for which the lodge is renowned in the airy restaurant and there is also the chance for alfresco dining when the weather allows.

As well as being a great base for self-drives to explore Etohsa, Onguma Bush Camp also offers a number of guided activities, including game drives, guided walks, sundowner drinks trips and the chance to spend time in the specialist photography hide which overlooks a waterhole.
