Secluded and luxurious – the perfect spot for a unique Etosha experience
Tucked away on the remote Andoni Plains, King Nehale is one of the most unique lodges in Etosha, well off the beaten track and perfect for those who love to explore
Regular visitors to Etosha love the unique landscapes and abundant game viewing that it offers, which combine to make it one of the most desirable safari spots in the world. For some though it can get very busy, especially in the dry winter months and the crowds are hard to avoid. King Nehale bucks this trend, offering access to the quiet and remote northern tranches of the park.
There are 40 spacious suites here, all of which look out across the stark and beautiful plains and have their own private plunge pools on the terrace – perfect for cooling off in the heat of the afternoons. Inside the rooms are very comfortable with bright and vibrant décor, four poster beds and deep sofas which are perfect for relaxing on in the afternoons. The huge main area has a central firepit area which is perfect for evening drinks, whilst the dining room serves all manner of amazing dishes throughout the day and is one of the most striking features of the lodge. The bar area is very popular with guests and there is a small but well-stocked curio shop for buying forgotten essentials and little mementos of your time in Namibia. The staff are delightful and will really help to make your stay in this unique part of Etosha a truly memorable experience.
As well as offering game drives through the park, the lodge also has its own private waterhole with a viewing hide in front of it which is the perfect spot to spend an afternoon watching wildlife coming to bring and is an especially popular spot with photographers.
