Mgoza Lodge is situated in Chembe Village - a vibrant Malawian fishing community - in the middle of Cape Maclear on the stunning southern shores of Lake Malawi. The beach is just a few sandy footprints to the door of your accommodation, and with dazzling blue waters and mountains towering high, what more could you want from a holiday?

Mgoza Lodge has different configurations of accommodation to suit all tastes and requirements, ranging from A-framed thatched dorms and huts to en-suite chalets with a truly African vibe. All rooms contain extra-large double beds and have flowing mosquito nets. Featured in the rooms are artwork produced by local artists, which is complimented by the breath-taking views of the lake from the individual verandas. Shaded by leafy trees, the outdoor swimming pool is the perfect place to cool down from the hot sun, and there are plenty of shady spots in the garden to relax. The restaurant focuses on using the freshest and most local produce in its restaurant and serves traditional dishes.

A short walk from Mgoza Lodge is Cape Maclear Scuba Diving Centre which caters for beginners or more experienced divers. On your underwater exploration, keep your eyes peeled for cichlids, and other vibrantly coloured fish. Going on a boat cruise is the best way to soak up the renowned sunsets, or take a solo kayak trip out to Thumbi Island or Otters Point to appreciate the serenity of the lake.
