Bale Camp 1

Webbs Camp - Bale Mountains

A genuine frontier experience deep in the Bale Mountains

Webbs Camp by Wild Expeditions makes for a genuine ‘last frontier’ experience.

Remote in pristine areas of Ethiopia where few have ventured before

What our Ethiopia experts Ben, Marc and Peter have to say about Webbs Camp in the Bale Mountains

This is as remote and disconnected from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the worlds as you can get.

A camp made near to the Geysay Plateau, perfect for allowing access to grasslands, woodlands, Afro-alpine meadows, the Erica moorlands and Harenna forest. The areas is famous for being home to a huge variety of flora and fauna including over half the remaining population of Ethiopian Wolf as well as mountain nyala, the Menelik’s bushbuck, spotted hyena, lion, leopard and African wild dog, also a very high number of endemic bird species.

It's an entirely canvas accommodation experience with a central mess/dining tent and separate sturdy sleeping tents which have been imported from South Africa. They are basic but comfortable – but having all the creature comforts of home isn’t what this experience is about. It’s your opportunity to explore remote, beautiful rarely visited areas of Ethiopia.

We are working directly with a leading management company who heavily invest the sustainable development of Ethiopia's wilderness.
