Owner and manager Habtamu Kebadu (born and raised in Lalibela) and his team take great pride in the running of this 10-room lodge, which has hosted some illustrious guests including George W Bush. Habtamu’s knowledge, dedication and passion for tourism in his home region has earned him an abundance of accolades and appreciative write-ups.
The rooms are set in brick bungalows with partially thatched roofs. They are perched on a viewpoint overlooking the scenic Lasta and Simien Mountains. The rooms are spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated incorporating local style with hand-carved furniture. Each has an en-suite bathroom and a private veranda overlooking the mountains. Beds are comfortable with fresh, high-quality linen and the rooms are light and airy. The hotel is suited for couples and families alike.
The restaurant serves traditional and European dishes. Habtamu and his team will also be pleased to recommend restaurants in town for guests who want to explore.
