Matetsi River Lodge

Matetsi River Lodge sits on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, 40kms upstream from the iconic Victoria Falls, one of the main draws for visiting Zimbabwe. The lodges offers the perfect respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life, with a wonderful range of activities to enjoy before returning to this most relaxing of locations for some well-earned rest and relaxation.

River Lodge is comprised of two camps, each boasting nine suites including a 2-bedroom family suite, all of which are beautifully designed with views out across the river. The tree canopy provides shelter from the fierce heat of the African day whilst the spacious, comfortable interiors make the suites the perfect spot to retreat to for some peace and quiet. With indoor and outdoor bathrooms, as well as private plunge pools, if it wasn’t for the luxury that is found in the main area there would be little reason to leave your suite at all. However, with a huge lounge, bar, indoor and outdoor dining areas as well as a huge swimming pool, the public part of the lodge is a convivial space to enjoy and there is always a lovely friendly atmosphere. The food is outstanding and there is an excellent selection of wines to accompany the meals.

Game drives, bush walks, boat cruises and visits to The Falls are all included here, whilst additional activities such as scenic flights, bungee jumps and white-water rafting can all be pre-booked for an additional cost.
