The park has the country’s biggest concentration of hippo and crocodiles as well as large dry season mammal populations of elephant and buffalo. Spotted hyena, honey badger and many species of antelope are found here. Cheetah and African wild dogs are still present (though rare) and lions are fairly commonly sighted on game drives and walking safaris.
