This sample itinerary can be tailored to suite your individual interests and requirements. If for example, you are keen on natural history, we recommend allocating more time to Sao Tome. If on the other hand, the main aim of your trip is beach time, then spend more time on Principe.
If you plan on travelling during school holiday months (July, August, December), we recommend booking as early as possible to avoid disappointment with long-haul flight availability in particular.

Day 1: Fly from UK to Sao Tome
Sao Tome
Fly to Sao Tome. On your early evening arrival you will be met and transferred to Omali Lodge for an overnight stay in a Premier room with breakfast included.
Days 2 - 3: Flight to Principe Island
Principe Island
Take a quick flight across to the smaller and older island of Principe. Stay the next 2 nights at an old Planation House called Roca Sundy, you have dinner and breakfast included as well as 1 activity per day. From here you explore the island's interior, interact with the locals and enjoy this magnificent island.
Day 4: To the beach!
Sundy Praia
A short transfer to one of the beach beaches on the island where you will stay at Sundy Praia for the next 3 nights. You are here in a luxury 1 bedroom tented room with breakfast and dinner included as well as 1 activity per day.
Days 5 & 6: Principe
Principe beach
Laze on the most magnificent beach; take a boat trip out to the Bay of Needles or enjoy a guided walk along the stunning coastline. Do whatever you like whilst in this paradisiac setting.
Day 7, 8, 9: Back to Sao Tome

Fly back to Sao Tome and stay the next 3 nights at Omali Lodge in a Premier Room with breakfast included. You have plenty of time here to discover Sao Tome City, be guided into the interior and discover Obo National Park and its plethora of waterfalls or head up to the northern beaches in search of more amazing beaches and maybe some turtles.
Day 10: Head for home
Sao Tome Leve Leve
This evening you will be dropped off at the airport in time for your overnight flight via Lisbon. Arrive into the UK mid-morning the following day.
