Chelinda Lodge overlooks the rolling grassland of the High Nyika Plateau, which is often dotted with large herds of roan, eland and zebra. The spacious pine log cabins are sheltered by a pocket of hagenia woodland and forest.
Accommodation comprises eight spacious chalets which have fireplaces, en-suite bathrooms and an upstairs viewing area/children’s bedroom. Two chalets are joined to form an interconnected family unit. Elevated wooden walkways link the cabins to the lodge’s main building, complete with outside deck for al fresco dining around a fireplace.
Activities include game drives to discover the wonders of the Nyika National Park, informative walks, birding, and mountain biking. Chelinda Lodge is in a truly unique location and a must-see for any visit to Malawi.
