Arrive and relax at Karen Residences Country Club apartment for two nights to soak in the Kenyan culture and atmosphere where you will visit David Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage with your private driver guide. You will then be driven to Loldia Lodge for a two-night in a lakeside suite in the shadow of Longonot Volcano and National Park. During these two day explore and enjoy Lake Nakuru National Park and Lake Elementeita. Following this you will fly south of the Masai Mara to Governors Camp for a three night stay.
And finally you will fly directly back to Nairobi where you’ll meet back up with your private driver for one final night and full day at Karen Residences.

Day 1: Happy holidays!
Pack your safari things and check in at Glasgow for your overnight Emirates flight departing to Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, via Dubai.
Day 2: Welcome to Kenya
After leaving customs at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International airport you’ll be met by a Far & Wild Travel representative who will be your private driver/guide for all times you are in Nairobi. Be transferred to Karen Residences Country Club in Nairobi’s leafy suburbs, ideally situated to explore Nairobi’s highlights.
You will stay in a double apartment, for two nights, with breakfast included.
Day 3: David Sheldrick's Elephant Orphanage
After a wonderful breakfast and Kenyan coffee, meet your private driver and head out on a full day of excursions to the elephant orphanage, giraffe sanctuary, Karen Blixen Museum, Nairobi Museum and Textile Market. Entrance to each attraction are not included in the tour, but are approximately US $10pp per location.
Day 4: Great Rift Valley
Check out of Karen Residences and meet your Governors Camp representative who will drive you two hours to Loldia House, where you will stay on the shores of Lake Naivasha for two nights in a double room. Your rate includes all game activities, conservation and park fees, meals and drinks.
Day 5: Birding & Water Wildlife
You’ll drive in your Land Cruiser in Lake Nakuru National Park, Soysambu Conservancy to visit Lake Elementeita, and go on a boat safari on Lake Naivasha. Enjoy daily afternoon tea on the terrace at the farmhouse.
The landscape, wildlife and experiences here contrast wonderfully with those you’ll experience in the coming days in the Masai Mara.
Explore the farm at Loldia House with one of the guides, enjoy the interaction of farming activities and the wild animals living alongside, and explore the lakes and mountains of the Great Rift Valley.
Day and night game drives, fishing, exceptional bird watching, golf and island picnics are all available through the lodge.
Day 6: Scenic Flight
After your morning game activity and breakfast, soar over the plains of the Great Rift Valley in your light aircraft, you’ll not want to sleep through this flight!
Welcome to the Mara
From the moment you enter the Masai Mara National Reserve you will be surrounded by millions of migrating wildebeest and zebra…and the predators that follow them! Not to mention the birds, flowers, trees, changeable landscape and cultural interactions; you’ll be blown away by the Masai beauty.
At Governors Camp you’ll stay in a luxury tent for the next three nights. Each day enjoy two game drives and all your meals and drinks are included. This area is known as the pinnacle of safari wildlife viewing, with lions, giraffe, elephants, leopards, cheetahs and countless birds to see.
Day 7: Safari Complete
After taking enough photographs to fill more than a few albums, you’ll take to the skies again in the afternoon, from the Governors airstrip, you will fly to Nairobi’s small Wilson airport.
Meet your driver/guide at arrivals and be transferred back to Karen Residences, where you’ll stay in a double apartment again, with breakfast included. With peace of mind and feeling grounded, relax at the pool and in the gardens with a sundowner
Day 8: Last day in Kenya
Your Far & Wild representative private driver/guide will be at your disposal all day today, to visit museums and help you buy the last souvenirs before heading to Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your Emirates flight departing to Glasgow International airport, via Dubai.
Day 9: Home
Arrive in Glasgow International airport, revived and rejuvenated after your holiday of a lifetime.
