Musangano Lodge

Located in the beautiful Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe is the serene Musangano Lodge, which is surrounded by the stunning rolling green hills that the Eastern Highlands are famous for. the lodge is also close to several iconic landmarks such as Nyanga National Park and the Bvumba Mountains. Musangano can be reached by either a three hour drive from Harare or a 30 minute drive from Mutare. This lodge welcomes children and offers a separate children’s swimming pool and children’s activities.

Musangano Lodge has two accommodation options – lodges and chalets. The four lodges are self catering and more suited to families or groups of friends, with two or three bedrooms able to accommodate between four and seven people. They include a lounge and a veranda with a braai stand (barbeque). The five thatched chalets accommodate two people and are ideal for single travellers or a couple/two friends and contain a kitchenette as well as a separate dressing area and a private patio. The lodge restaurant has a lovely homely feeling, and there's also outside seating where you can enjoy your meal beneath the trees surrounded by birdsong.

There is a wide range of activities available at the lodge and in the surrounding areas. You can explore Musangano’s 140-hectare property via it’s colour-marked nature trails, which range from easy to strenuous. Alternatively, you can embark on a biking trip along one of the many cycle trails or explore the area on horseback. If you are more interested in history and culture then a visit to an ancient rock art site is recommended. Chikundu Game Park and Nyanga National Park provide the perfect opportunity to take in the Eastern Highland’s beautiful scenery and get up close to Zimbabwe’s amazing wildlife, whereas the Mutare Hillside Golf club is brilliant for a game of golf.
