AN IDEAL PLACE TO UNWIND

Set on one of the most beautiful coral beaches in the world, Zanzibar Queen Hotel is a true gem among Zanzibar resorts.

Ben says: "Not too big, not too small... this lovely hotel and its friendly professional staff are all you could ask for, for a happy week on the beach. Lovely modern rooms, plenty to do and cuisine that hits the spot. "

Location: The beachfront location on Matemwe (one of the best coral beaches around) is a massive draw for the Zanzibar Queen Hotel, as well as its close proximity to Mnemba which attracts amateur and professional divers.

Rooms: Spacious bedrooms with generous king-size beds and balcony views are the perfect place to cool down and relax. The sea view rooms are particularly special - you can't beat waking up to the sparkling Indian Ocean.

Activities: The waters of the Indian Ocean are a perfect place to test your diving skills, beach yoga offers pure relaxation and massages are available too. The pool is open all year round for a refreshing dip and there is an onsite gym. Other activities you must try are a visit to historic Stone Town, a Spice Tour (Zanzibar is often called The Island of Spices), a visit to Prison Island which is home to giant tortoises and a trip to Jozani Forest where you can see a red Columbus monkey.
