On arrival you will land at Pemba Airport in the centre of the island, where you’ll then be collected and transferred to the northern tip of the island (approximately 1 hour and 30 mins) and welcomed by the friendly faces at Aiyana Hotel.

The stunning hotel rooms are split into several categories – all beach front and decorated in a relaxed luxury style with crisp white furnishings. The one-bedroom Prestige Suite is furnished with a king-sized bed, shower (both indoor and outdoor), separate bathtub and beautiful front and rear gardens. The second room type is the one bedroom Senior Suite, which is larger than the Prestige Suite, and furnished with a lounge area. The third and fourth villa style are very similar: the two-bedroom Ambassador and Royal Suites (slightly smaller) are both deluxe villas and well-appointed with two king-sized beds, a stylish bathroom with an outdoor shower, as well as outdoor decking and seating with a private infinity pool and covered veranda that oozes exclusivity. Last, but not least, is the two-bedroom Presidential Villa which is furnished with two king-sized beds, two bathrooms (both with external showers), along with outdoor decking and large infinity pool. And if the features listed previously weren’t enough, when you stay in this villa you will have your own private chef and maid at your disposal!

Pemba island is one of the top diving sites in the world; the intact coral reefs are home to an abundance of fish meaning this should be top of your must-see list! However, if you’re interested in history and culture, the hotel offers a trip to Chwaka - home to 18th century town ruins, or to the Mkana Ndume - a historical site with Arab, Swahili and Portuguese influences. You can also visit the Tumbes fish market where your fantastic chef buys his delicious ingredients from!
