Fundu Lagoon is situated on a remote and beautiful beach on the southwest side of Pemba Island, only accessible by boat. The atmosphere at Fundu is all about laid-back sophistication, making it ideal for a relaxing holiday getaway or tropical honeymoon. There are 18 rooms, built with canvas tents set under thatched roofs on wooden decks, all with views over the sea.
The rooms are equipped with large double or twin beds, lounge area, en-suite bathroom and outdoor seating. Some rooms are situated along the beachfront and the remaining on the hillside, which have wide views over the lagoon. There are also two standard suites, which have their own private deck and plunge pool, and four superior suites, which also have an extensive indoor and outdoor lounge space and mezzanine platform.
The restaurant and bar areas are constructed on many different levels so diners can sit inside or out, and private candlelit dinners on the beach can also be arranged. For some activity during your stay why not choose from a wide range of water sports, including snorkelling, fishing, and kayaking. Pemba Island is listed as one of the top diving locations in Africa, and Fundu Lagoon has a fully equipped PADI dive centre for beginners and experienced divers.
