combining modern tourism with Zanzibari tropical paradise
Situated on Kendwa beach, northwest Zanzibar
Location: Zuri Zanzibar is set on the island’s north-west coast, around an hour’s drive from Zanzibar’s international airport. The resort is perched on a gentle slope above a pristine, 350-metre private beach in Kendwa, one of the few areas on the island where the tides don’t significantly affect swimming – perfect for all-day dips in the Indian Ocean.
Rooms: The resort features 55 elegant bungalows, suites and villas. Designed with a modern yet homely feel, each space is inspired by traditional Zanzibari craftsmanship. Bungalows come with double or twin beds and large terraces, some with a jacuzzi and sea views. Suites include separate living spaces and private outdoor jacuzzis, while the two- and three-bedroom villas offer private infinity pools, beachfront locations and all the space you’d want for a group or family getaway.
Amenities; Facilities include a 32-metre infinity pool, a main restaurant and several relaxed bars, plus a tranquil wellness area offering yoga, massage and a fully equipped gym. The on-site spice garden is a peaceful spot to wander, while the beach is one of the most scenic and swimmable on the island.
Activities: Zuri makes a stylish base for exploring Zanzibar. Excursions can include spice farm tours, wildlife walks in Jozani Forest, dolphin swims, Prison Island trips and Stone Town tours. Watersports, sunset dhow cruises and snorkelling trips can also be arranged.
Sustainability: Zuri Zanzibar is Green Globe certified and strongly committed to sustainability, from eco-conscious architecture and waste reduction to community outreach programmes and support for local farming and education initiatives.

Temperatures during May are high, with strong winds and continual rainfall. If you travel during this time you won't witness the best of Zanzibar.

June, the wet season is finally over, temperatures are cooler making it a beautiful time to lounge on the beach or explore the culturally rich Stone Town. Sporadic rainfall may occur across the month.
